(Senior) Specialist Process Engineering

About the Role
As a (Senior) Specialist Process Engineering, you will play a key role in the final engineering, installation, commissioning, and qualification at the Boxmeer site.
Reporting to the Engineering Director of the Technology Center, you will act as the technical owner for the Beta Lactam formulation area, ensuring manufacturing equipment is delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with GMP standards.
Working in a multidisciplinary project team, you will collaborate closely with automation, process, mechanical, HVAC, commissioning & qualification engineers, project managers, end users, and external engineering partners across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the formulation area.
• Lead the engineering, installation, commissioning, and qualification of complex manufacturing equipment.
• Support equipment FATs at supplier locations.
• Drive technical problem solving and continuous process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma and Change Management principles to optimize processes and support project execution.

Global Engineering Solutions (GES) is responsible for designing and delivering capital investment projects for our global Animal Health manufacturing network. Based in Boxmeer, the Technology Center supports production sites worldwide through engineering expertise and innovative project execution.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of engineering experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, food, or high-tech industry.
• Experience with capital projects and GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of hygienic design, powder handling, and Beta Lactam processes is an advantage.
• Familiarity with EU GMP, Annex 1, EHEDG, and ISPE guidelines.
• Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to supplier sites and to work on-site in Boxmeer (minimum three days per week, increasing to full-time during commissioning).
