Working closely with project managers, engineering specialists, validation teams and external vendors, you will apply your electrical engineering expertise to ensure successful project execution in a highly regulated environment. This is a fully project-focused role, with no maintenance or production support responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design, implementation and commissioning of new packaging and labelling lines.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical engineering issues during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and commissioning.
  • Perform electrical testing, validation and verification of equipment and systems.
  • Develop test protocols, conduct technical evaluations and prepare assessment reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineering, automation, validation, Quality Assurance, manufacturing and external suppliers.
  • Ensure project activities comply with applicable quality, safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Independently plan and execute electrical engineering activities within assigned projects, adapting to changing priorities and project requirements.

Requirements

  • A strong background in electrical engineering, supported by a relevant engineering degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Approximately seven years of relevant engineering experience, including substantial project engineering experience.
  • Experience working in a GxP-regulated environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Strong ability to interpret electrical drawings, troubleshoot technical issues and support equipment testing and commissioning.
  • Experience with project execution, preferably involving capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic project environment.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken. Basic Dutch is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with pharmaceutical packaging and labelling lines.
  • Experience with FAT/SAT, equipment commissioning, electrical verification and validation.
  • Experience in other highly regulated industries, such as chemicals, may also be considered.
  • An MBO qualification may be considered for candidates with extensive relevant project engineering experience.

This role has 30 vacation days and a salary of €87.500,- plus bonus opportunity. It’s primarily on-site, with the possibility of working from home one day per week.
