Are you looking for a job at one of the largest multinationals in the pharmaceutical industry? We are seeking a chemical analyst (Bachelor (HBO) / Secondary Vocational (MBO) education) looking for a challenging project assignment within our innovative company.

The position:
Practical laboratory support for protein crystallization synthesis.

In this role, you will support the development of a new process route for the crystallization of one of our drug projects. The new process route is in the final development phase, and you will work on the final optimization and verification of the new process.

Your responsibilities:

• Preparing and executing small-scale crystallization reactions according to a standardized batch protocol, within the stabilized operating window.
• Providing the experimental input for a complete DOE within the operating window.
• Preparing and executing small-scale crystallization reactions to further define the parameter ranges of the process.
• Analyzing the resulting materials using laser diffraction and optical microscopy.
• Reporting the preparations and analysis results in standardized batch and summary sheets. Experimental support in resolving issues arising during process handover may be part of the duties.
• The responsibilities mentioned above provide an indication of what you will do after proper onboarding and initial training and development.

Who are you?

• You have a background in analytical or synthetic chemistry, at the secondary vocational (MBO) or higher professional (HBO) level.
• You are enthusiastic about working in the lab and eager to learn.
• You have a passion for the crystallization of APIs and/or proteins in the pharmaceutical industry.
• You speak fluent English; fluent Dutch is a major plus.
• You are available to work at the ATS Oss laboratory for at least 4 days a week (32 hours) for at least 3 months (01-09-26 to 31-12-26).

De functie:

• Praktische laboratoriumondersteuning voor eiwitkristallisatiesynthese.

In deze functie ondersteun je de ontwikkeling van een nieuwe procesroute voor de kristallisatie van een van onze geneesmiddelenprojecten. De nieuwe procesroute bevindt zich in de laatste ontwikkelingsfase en je werkt aan de uiteindelijke optimalisatie en verificatie van het nieuwe proces.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden:

• Het voorbereiden en uitvoeren van kleinschalige kristallisatiereacties volgens een gestandaardiseerd batchprotocol, binnen het gestabiliseerde werkingsvenster.
• Het leveren van de experimentele input voor een volledige DOE binnen het werkingsvenster.
• Het voorbereiden en uitvoeren van kleinschalige kristallisatiereacties om de parameterbereiken van het proces verder te definiëren.
• Het analyseren van de resulterende materialen met laserdiffractie en optische microscopie.
• Het rapporteren van de voorbereidingen en analyseresultaten in gestandaardiseerde batch- en overzichtsbladen.
• Experimentele ondersteuning bij het oplossen van problemen die zich voordoen tijdens de procesoverdracht kan deel uitmaken van de werkzaamheden.
• De bovengenoemde verantwoordelijkheden geven een indicatie van wat je zult doen na een goede onboarding en initiële training en ontwikkeling.

Wie ben jij?

• Je hebt een achtergrond in analytische of synthetische chemie, MBO/HBO.
• Je bent enthousiast om in het lab te werken en leergierig.
• Je hebt een passie voor de kristallisatie van API’s en/of eiwitten in de farmaceutische industrie.
• Je spreekt vloeiend Engels; vloeiend Nederlands is een grote pré.
• Je bent beschikbaar om minimaal 4 dagen per week (32 uur) gedurende ten minste 3 maanden (01-09-26 t/m 31-12-26) in het ATS Oss-laboratorium te werken.
