Herakles Pharma Staffing and XDES moving forward as part of Talentmark

From 17 May 2022, Herakles Pharma Staffing and XDES will be moving forward together with international Talentmark as part of Talentmark. The three complementary Life Sciences recruitment businesses have made this decision. With more than sixty recruitment staff, more than 200 secondees and sites in the Netherlands, the UK, Germany, Spain, Switzerland and the USA, the businesses have taken the first step towards their aim of growing into the leading recruitment solutions provider in the Life Sciences sector. “Some changes have been made in terms of the structure and look of the organisation, but our services for clients, candidates and secondees are staying on the familiar personal level. Within the Life Sciences, we are going to keep steadily growing,” remarks Thomas van den Born, Group CEO of Talentmark.

In order to grow into a leading recruitment solutions provider in the Life Sciences sector, Herakles Pharma Staffing and XDES have decided to merge with international Talentmark and move forward as part of Talentmark. Herakles Pharma Staffing is now Talentmark Maarssen and XDES is now Talentmark Hoofddorp. Growth, as Thomas van den Born explains, is Talentmark’s leading consideration on all levels: “Within Talentmark, we go above and beyond to support our candidates in achieving their goals, which often include growth. In parallel to that, we want to help our candidates in their next career move, mentoring them through their development and achieving their ambitions. Complementary

Prior to the decision for Herakles Pharma Staffing and XDES to merge into Talentmark, the three companies had already spent months intensively examining each other’s differences, similarities and added value. It soon became clear that they did have complementary services, and all three providers placed the same strong emphasis on personal contact and excellent care. For candidates and clients alike. “Those values play a key role within Talentmark, too,” Van den Born explains. He continues: “We offer our clients high-quality services at all job levels. From process operators who perhaps prepare new vaccines in the factory for use, up to positions at the executive level. And everything in-between. As Talentmark is going to focus increasingly on those Life Sciences jobs that are not currently being provided for by one of the teams. Clients that have positions to fill on multiple levels or in multiple countries can now also be looked after by a single face and a single approach. This offers tremendous advantages. We can also now contribute even more extensive knowledge and expertise when it comes to advising on setting up new teams and the correct order for filling them, for example.”

Innovative developments

Another important added value, says Van den Born, is the greater scope that the merger of the companies creates for innovative developments: “We are collecting valuable data from all teams which can be used in a variety of ways. For example, structured mapping of job requirements that candidates need to fulfil for specific posts. Or which job requirements could be skipped because they can be taught during in-company training. That creates the possibility of not just looking at relevant experience, but also at someone’s potential. In times of labour shortage, like now, that can be very valuable. But I can also see scope for collaboration, both in our operations and in the services to our clients. We have already taken the first steps in this. But now we are mainly focused on putting Talentmark on the map. We are going to make sure that if you have a vacancy in the Life Sciences sector, or are looking for a job in it, you will automatically turn to Talentmark.
