Senior Equipment Engineer
About the Role
As a Senior Equipment Engineer, you will lead and execute technical projects supporting manufacturing operations within the Device Assembly, Inspection, Labeling, and Packaging areas. You will be responsible for the design, installation, commissioning, and lifecycle management of manufacturing equipment, ensuring reliable performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and project stakeholders, you will deliver robust engineering solutions that optimize productivity, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Project Execution

  • Serve as the technical lead for assigned OPEX and CAPEX projects.
  • Act as the primary technical contact between internal stakeholders and equipment suppliers.
  • Translate user and process requirements into technical specifications and equipment designs.
  • Partner with Project Managers to deliver projects on time while managing technical risks and deliverables.

Engineering & Equipment Design

  • Develop engineering documentation, including URS, FDS, HDS, and Design Reviews.
  • Lead equipment characterization studies and evaluate process performance through structured testing.
  • Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), commissioning, and qualification activities.
  • Oversee equipment installation and ensure systems meet performance and compliance requirements.

Operational Support

  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment-related issues.
  • Contribute to Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and cross-functional investigations.
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with GMP standards, company procedures, and EHS regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvements to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and operational performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant engineering experience, including at least 4 years in a manufacturing or operations environment.
  • Experience within the pharmaceutical industry or automated device assembly, labeling, and packaging is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment commissioning and qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment design, installation, validation, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with GMP and other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to occasionally work outside standard business hours when project activities require.
