Background
Our client is a Pharmaceutical organization. Working on a global basis, to be responsible and accountable for the establishment and maintenance of pharmaceutical wholesalers and manufacturers in order meet the demand of sales of pharmaceutical products in the most efficient and cost effective way.
Key Responsibilities
This role is accountable and responsible for:
1) Networking, Identifying and Managing Suppliers for large value and/or strategic contracts
2) Reduce total acquisition costs of pharmaceutical products and minimise supply chain risks.
3) Be a lead from a Procurement prospective in customer tender requests to maximise ability to win the tenders.
4) Manage ongoing Procurement requirements for large & strategic clients.
5) Identify and develop new sourcing strategies for large value contracts and/or products that have restricted supply.
Key Duties and Performance Indicators
1) Ensure buying products at the most cost effective price
2) Identifying the most appropiate markets to source products and making informed decisions on price, quality, supply chain risk and regulatory compliance.
3) Manage clients tenders
4) Be a key member of client facing team to ensure the right level of service is delivered to strategic clients
5) Proactively review new and emerging supply markets to ensure has a competitive edge over the competitors. This will be achieved by:
Continuous review of new and emerging suppliers, competitors and market dynamics to ensure retains a competitive edge.
