Christopher Coe is the Executive Vice President Executive Search at Talentmark. His experience as an industry executive during an era of unprecedented change provides him with an innate understanding of sector-wide Leadership needs.
A member of the firm’s Global Life Sciences Practice, Chris has a particular specialisation in serving clients in the medical devices, diagnostics, and tools industry. He has assisted both established and emerging organisations in recruiting top-tier talent to fill roles identified as critical to global growth. Chris has collaborated with clients in attracting executives for most senior management positions, including CEO, CFO, COO, CIO, and key Leadership posts in R&D, Business Development, and Sales and Marketing. He has also completed assignments for most functional Vice Presidents.
Chris joined Talentmark in 2016. Previously he gained Search experience with CT Partners as a Partner, Korn/Ferry International as Senior Partner in the firm’s Healthcare Practice.
A 14-year corporate career as a respected Marketing & Sales Executive in the Life Sciences industry is the basis for Chris’s insightful consultation and successful assessment of client talent needs. His diverse track record includes tnures with major global pharmaceutical and medical and medical devices companies, including GD Searle, Medtronic, Boston Scientific, and VC-backed startup organisations.

A clinician by background, William has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 25 years. He has experience in senior executive positions in drug development and general management, encompassing assignments in Europe, Far East and the USA. He has worked in both large multinational and smaller international family businesses.
He qualified in Medicine at the Westminster Hospital London after a BSc in Biochemistry at University College London. William holds a Master of Public Health and is a Fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine. He practised Medicine in the UK and South Africa before entering the pharmaceutical industry.

David has a background in PR, marketing and communications and spent his early career in sales and marketing leadership roles before entering the recruitment industry in 1999. David’s early recruitment career focused on banking/trading technology before transitioning to focus on innovative technology deployed in drug discovery and development.
Since 2001, David has focused exclusively in the life-sciences industry primarily on global leadership roles across both R&D and Commercial functions and has an impressive track record of delivering assignments across Asia, Europe and North America.
David joined Talentmark over 10 years ago and today directs the activities of Talentmark's consulting teams, in addition to delivering senior and highly specialised executive search assignments for key clients.
Spencer is responsible for Clinical Recruitment in several geographic locations in Europe for Talentmark.
With a degree in Management from the University of Manchester, Spencer began his career in scientific recruitment in 2010. This experience has led him to his becoming a clinical recruiter for European roles at Talentmark in 2012.
Part of Spencer’s role in management and recruitment involves the filtering of applications to ensure that only the most suitable are presented to the client, as well as checking the suitability and references of the candidate before presenting them to the employer. He is also responsible for arranging meetings between a high calibre shortlist of talent and the employer. This facilitates a clear understanding of both the requirements of the role and the available talent pool and enables the process to proceed at an efficient and desirable pace.
Klemens is CEO of Talentmark Deutschland GmbH and Executive Director of Talentmark Group. His role is move forward Talentmark’s unique business model of Product Driven People Solutions in Germany and beyond, growing the company’s best in class recruitment business and adding new strengths to the company’s Interim Management and Consulting portfolio, especially from a clinical perspective.
A seasoned industry professional, Klemens has 25 years in Clinical Development, combined with commercial experience within BioPharma and CRO companies. He has a German and US University background in Biology and Biochemistry, and joined ASTA Medica in 1990 where he rose to become the company’s Head of Operations. This was followed by more than 10 years at the CRO, Ergomed as COO. For the past three years Klemens has been the CEO of Ecron Acunova in Germany, a Global CRO.

Ian is an experienced life science industry and recruitment professional whose resourcing expertise spans executive search, selection, RPO and managed services.
A graduate in Biology and Psychology, Ian’s 20 year sales and marketing career within the pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare industry included roles within global matrix organisations such as Wyeth Laboratories (SMA Nutrition) and Novartis in the UK and Switzerland respectively.
In 2003, Ian moved into life science recruitment, initially in executive search then rapidly developing experience within managed services and RPO. He has worked for two leading search providers as well as life science boutiques, more recently taking the opportunity to build and run the Swiss office for an international search led business.
Ian’s clients benefit from his breadth of industry and recruitment expertise across a number of life science sectors, covering roles across both commercial and R&D. His experience provides a real understanding of the client’s perspective and how bespoke flexible and scalable resourcing solutions add value to their business
Nick is an experienced life sciences executive search professional with a proven track record in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Vaccines and Biopharma sectors. He has helped organisations acquire leadership and expert talent for succession and driving change at critical phases of transition.
At Talentmark, he is Managing Consultant. He has a focus on Research Development and Medical, supporting the leadership and talent teams in functions from discovery through all phases of development.
Previously VP at a life science executive search company, Nick has experience of placing senior talent in Asia, Europe, and Americas. This experience is proving useful to Talentmark’s clients where Nick’s understanding of selection at senior level is matched by his international perspective on organisational behaviour and performance.
With more than 20 years of experience in retained executive search for the life science industry, Andreas has a considerable track record of successfully completed assignments in therapeutics, diagnostics, medical devices, contract research and biotechnology. He is dedicated to supporting clients with all of their recruitment needs, from C-level to hard-to-find specialists.
His experience includes searches across a number of functional areas, including General Management, Preclinical R&D, Clinical Research, Medical Affairs, Drug Safety, Regulatory Affairs, Biostatistics, Toxicology, Pharmacology, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Health Economy, Market Access, Intellectual Property, Investor Relations, Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Management.
Andreas is a member of the German Association of Pharmaceutical Medicine (DGPharMed), the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) and the Drug Information Association (DIA). He was a representative of the German Association of Biotechnology Companies (VBU) from its foundation in 1996 until 2005.
Previously the head of a global life science practice for one of the world's leading international executive search firms, Andreas has a deep insight into the life science industry and is experienced in performing successful cross-border searches.
Based in Frankfurt, Andreas has the remit to grow Talentmark's client base in Germany and to provide local expertise to Talentmark's global clients.
A graduate of Leeds Metropolitan University, Marcus specialises in recruitment for HEOR, pricing, market access, communications and PR.
His background includes time with Johnson & Johnson in medical device sales, together with experience of leading teams of recruitment specialists.
Clients see Marcus as their trusted representative in the market. Marcus has a fascination with people and a finely honed gut feel for the right appointment. He believes that so much of recruitment is about the right feeling. Does the candidate have drive? How do they work in a team? Will they go the extra mile? Equally he understands the importance of fit within the client’s organisation. What are the key skills and personality traits that will make a successful placement? How is the company evolving and who will fit best, both now and in the future?

Paul has extensive experience in talent acquisition, beginning his career in the recruitment industry in 2000 before spending time as Sales Manager for a Contract Research Organisation. This role gave him valuable insights into the world of pharmaceutical drug development which he employed on his return to recruitment consultancy where he chose to specialise in Clinical Research, Regulatory Affairs, Drug Safety, Commercial and Medical Affairs. In 2006 Paul was one of the first consultants in Europe to dedicate himself to executive placements in Health Economics and Market Access and built a global network of clients and candidates before moving into management. He recruited, trained and led multi-disciplinary teams and was instrumental in the setup of an entirely new contracts division.
His considerable experience of working with both interim and permanent appointments across the spectrum of drug development, places Paul in an ideal position to help Talentmark as it seeks to develop its interim services offering.
Ben joined Talentmark in 2014 as Managing Consultant for R&D. His remit spans Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing and the Supply Chain.
Prior to joining Talentmark, Ben focused exclusively on Regulatory Affairs recruitment and is a member of TOPRA (The Organization for Professionals in Regulatory Affairs) which enhances his understanding of the skill sets and challenges around that discipline. He relishes the opportunity to build upon Talentmark's track record in this area, delivering greater value to the company’s current and future customers.
Bringing almost ten years of experience in executive search to the role, Ben’s focus at Talentmark is on global leadership level roles such as Managers, Heads of, Directors and Country Managers in both R&D and commercial.
Ben's past roles with biopharma and medical device organisations were based within Europe and Japan where he lived and worked for 18 years (he is a fluent Japanese speaker). This professional background gives him first-hand experience and sensitivity around international relocation challenges for clients and candidates.
Before moving into recruitment in 2005 he taught in various establishments, notably the University of Tokyo, and also enjoyed a period as Sales Director for a London-based Anglo-Japanese advertising agency. Ben has been praised as astute, insightful and expert at pinpointing client requirements and this has led to considerable success in securing the most appropriate talent. An excellent communicator, he is renowned for keeping all parties fully briefed throughout the selection process and is a valuable addition to the Talentmark team.
Michelle is an inspiring project leader with a track record of delivering exceptional results. She is passionate about life sciences executive search, with a deep understanding of the difference that the right candidate can make to a project.
A specialist in oncology placements and medical device startups, Michelle recruits for global C-level positions where the unique qualities of individual leaders are fundamental to the success of the enterprise.
Her approach to selection involves thorough research, combined with an intuitive approach that is derived from her considerable industry experience. She has a strong network of contacts from across the life sciences sector, developed over a number of years.
Michelle holds a degree in psychology and began her executive search career at Talentmark in 2007. She recently rejoined the company after a period with other companies where she gained additional experience of both European executive search and a number of consulting projects.

Jean-Luc brings over 16 years of experience in executive search for pan European key positions in the life-sciences industry. He has an impressive track record delivering complex global executive search mandates for R&D, Technical Operations and Commercial Leadership appointments.
In his role as Managing Consultant and General Manager Switzerland Jean-Luc will contribute to the further international expansion of Talentmark, primarily in the French and German speaking regions, as well as Italy and the USA.
Before entering the recruiting industry Jean-Luc gained in-depth experience as a Project and Group Leader as well as Managing Director and Consultant in IT organisation and management consulting across various industries and services. He holds a Master Degree in IT Management and a degree in Business Administration.
Dr William Neilson, Talentmark Chairman comments: “Having been continually impressed by Jean-Luc over the past several years while setting up the Talentmark office in Switzerland I’m delighted that he has now agreed to join us in driving the international expansion of Talentmark, based in Basel, Europe’s life sciences centre.
Marianne joins Talentmark from Bristol-Myers Squibb where she led Talent Acquisition and Management in the UK across four sites. This included handling the UK’s RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing), senior level recruitment and developing industry leading assessment centres. Prior to her time at BMS, Marianne was a Consulting Psychologist at Kenexa Human Capital Consultancy in London. She has also handled senior level recruitment and HR roles in banking and law. Marianne has an MSc in Occupational Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma in HR Strategies.
She brings to Talentmark incredible experience both in Human Resources within the pharmaceutical industry and in working alongside external suppliers. As the company develops its Managed Services division, this experience, combined with her expertise in psychology and assessment centres is proving invaluable in helping clients select key talent.
Robbie is a senior consultant within the clinical team, primarily focused on the DACH (Germany, Austria Switzerland) region.
He honed his skills working for a startup business specialising in European Pharmaceutical recruitment, where he headed their German permanent operations and managed a team of consultants. He has been with Talentmark since March 2015.
Robbie specialises in CRA level through to Project Direct level within R&D and Clinical and consistently received a very high level of recommendation from clients and candidates alike for his attention to detail, diligence and people skills.
He has a degree in German from Nottingham University and spent a year on an industrial placement at Robert Bosch GmbH in Stuttgart.
Hannah specialises in candidate research, seeking out appropriate talent on behalf of the company’s consulting team. She covers Hungary, Russia, the Czech Republic and the UK, with the brief of identifying candidates to meet very specific profiles.
A History graduate from the University of Birmingham, Hannah joined the Clinical Resourcing team last year and uses her well-honed analytical and detailed research skills to help clients identify the best candidates in the market. The research work conducted by Hannah and her colleagues is of great benefit to the client facing part of the business.
Hannah has always enjoyed working with people and has consistently assumed leadership roles in prior positions. She enjoys the every aspect of her role which includes interacting with candidates through phone interviews, making candidate submissions to clients, managing client/candidate negotiations at offer stage and candidate post-placement support.
