Translational Medicine Leader (Cardiovascular)
Our client, a major blue chip pharmaceutical company, is a world class market leading innovator in the cardiovascular therapeutic area. With an impressive track record in developing cutting edge cardiovascular treatments, our client is looking to continue this success, by bringing further discoveries through early clinical development.
With an industry leading early stage pipeline, our client is currently looking for a medically trained cardiologist, to take on the role of Translational Medicine Lead.
The Translational Medicine Lead will be responsible for moving discoveries through early clinical development. This involves medical leadership for projects in Exploratory Development phase (including proof of concept), and collaborating with the Clinical Science Leader to ensure that early clinical development is fully aligned with the late Development plan
Key Responsibilities
(include, but are not limited to):
• Supporting target and clinical candidate selection (in collaboration with Clinical Pharmacologist)
• Overall design of Translational Medicine studies to evaluate and validate targets.
• Work in partnership with the Biomarker scientist to define and develop biomarker strategies
• Ensures the timely development of the Early clinical Development
• Key medical interface with Business and Research/Discovery.
• Participate in evaluation of licensing opportunities, as required, by the DTA.
