Background
We are working with our client, a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of innovative medicines for the treatment of eye disease, vascular disease, and cancer.
Their leading product has completed two successful Phase III clinical trial and they are planning to commercialise their product via its own dedicated sales force across the United States and in Europe.
The European Head of Medical Affairs will be responsible for the management and oversight of the EU Medical Affairs department which includes medical information, the MSL team, and medical communications. Depending on the candidate’s experience, the EU Head Medical Affairs may also be responsible for and oversee Drug Safety/Pharmacovigilance. The EU Head Medical Affairs will help develop and execute company strategy pertaining to Medical Affairs including building and maintaining critical relationships in the medical and scientific communities.
Key Responsibilities
As the European Head of Medical Affairs you will be responsible for;
• Overseeing the management of all aspects of Medical Affairs
• Interacting with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and KOL development
• Provide training and support to the commercial organization related to clinical aspects of disease areas of interest to the Company and ensure high quality scientific and core message integrity
• Establish and monitor adherence to departmental processes, procedures and SOPs
